THE SPACE
Come enjoy this freshly updated beach getaway just a short walk to the beach. Sandy Shoes Cottage accommodates 8 people comfortably. There is a fully equipped kitchen, dining room, plenty of seating in the family room, and two fabulous outdoor spaces for dining and relaxing.

- Second King: King bedroom on the on upper floor, Smart TV, shares the upper floor full bath
- Queen Room: Queen bedroom on upper level, Smart TV , shares the upper floor full bath

- Great second story outdoor deck with sun and ocean breezes, perfect for grilling, dining and just chilling

Note, the fireplace and garage are not accessible. The garage pictured is for a separate unit on the first floor. Entrance to Sandy Shoes Cottage is accessed by steps to the second level.
We're located mid-beach - halfway between the St Simons Pier Village and East Beach. This stretch of beach is not tide dependent and has plenty of walking distance in both directions. We're walking distance to local restaurant favorites like Crab Daddy's, Barrier Island Brewing, and Porch.

Pets: This home is dog friendly for dogs 25lbs or less with $150 pet fee, 2 dogs max. Unfortunately we can't host puppies < 1 year old or breeds known to insurance carriers as 'vicious', please ask if you're not sure.
No Smoking: No smoking is allowed in the home, on the porches/patios/decks, or on the property in general.
No Events: No events or parties. No overnight guests beyond the original booking group.
Booking Policy: Unfortunately we can't host reservations that create 1-2 night gaps.

We really enjoyed our stay in this property. The location was amazing and we spend a lot of time on the beach or walking along the nearby marsh. The place was the perfect size for my husband and I, along with our two sons, their significant others and their dogs. We would definitely recommend this property.

Truly fantastic location - cannot beat the <1 block walk to the beach or the very short commute to great restaurants and other sites. The neighborhood is also pretty quiet since the house isn't directly on one of the major roads. The house is comfortable and spacious, but could use a few updates or a little maintenance love (the central AC/heat seemed to be not working very well, but with fans / windows / blankets depending on the temperature we were fine). We particularly enjoyed having the large porch, big dining table, and nice extra sitting area in one of the upstairs bedrooms. One suggestion if booking: if you're particular about linens you may want to bring your own - the towels were plentiful and fine, but the sheets on the beds were pretty bad.

We really enjoyed our stay. The place was clean and as described. Close walk to the beach and lovely, quiet neighborhood. The outdoor shower was a plus to wash off from the beach. A great spot for our family with children and grandparents.

The house was such a great space for us all to spread out (4 adults, 1 infant, 1 dog). I never felt crowded or overwhelmed, and the outdoor area was such a plus! The grill worked great, we grilled steaks one night! The kitchen had updated appliances, which was a nice plus. You were so close to the beach, which was great... the only call out for future travelers is the Olive Way Beach Access... when we went over Labor Day, the bugs were UNREAL when crossing the dunes to the beach... just bring bug spray or walk a few blocks down to the Coast Guard Station access. But the house was fantastic, we'd definitely stay here again!

Beautiful clean house. The pictures you see online is exactly what the house looks like. It's located on a quiet street. The beach access is at the end of the street! Not far from the house! It is a little walk to the beach but not far. They have a beach wagon to take your beach gear back and forth. That was really nice to have and really made our trips to the beach a breeze! Ryan was easy to communicate with before and during the trip! Wifi worked great for those that need to work while on vacation! Over all we enjoyed our experience at St. Simons Island and look forward to returning and staying here again.

Location is great! Five minute walk to the beach, and 15-20 minute walk to nearby restaurants and new local brewery. Decor is cute and the home was immaculately clean upon our arrival. Prior visitor mentioned musty carpets, but they must have had them steam-cleaned recently because they had no odor and looked clean. If staying with kids, let them have the downstairs mattress and adults take the upstairs beds which were firmer and more comfortable. Great stay!

We had a great time during our first visit to Saint Simons. Will definitely be back. The place we rented on Olive Way was perfect for us. The kitchen was very well appointed and I had no trouble preparing our Christmas meal with all the pots/pans/baking dishes. This is not always the case so I mention how nice it was. Large Amount of dish-ware and utensils was so nice too. Enjoyed the large dining table for meals and games. The villa was very very clean upon arrival. Really lovely place. LOVED the location with easy beach accessibility and fun bike rides to the Pier area. We will definitely return! THANK YOU!

Had a great time! Would stay here again. We rented a golf cart & it made it so easy to get to the village to eat & also to get to East beach with all our gear (family of 5 with a baby:). We LOVED the outdoor shower to rinse off. And we liked having the upstairs bedroom area as a place the kids could hang out and watch their shows. Overall a nice place to stay!

Everything was great from inside to out side area. The only recommendation would be to update the grounds a little compared to others in area. Otherwise, definitely will be going back & recommendations to family & friends.

Condo was wonderful as advertized. Will be returning next fall. The only drawback was the stairs to get to the first floor. It's miniscule, but I'm 74 with back surgery. The ad never mentioned that the condo was upstairs. We had a wonderful 5 days.
Great place to stay on SSI!

The property was just as described. Comfortable for our entire family with adults and children. The dining room space and outdoor space is really large on the first level with tons of room for a family. The beach access is very close, just a couple minute walk down the road. A really nice, central area on SSI that puts you close to the village and East Beach neighborhood.

We had a fabulous experience at the East Beach rental! We were three couples & the house was everything we hoped for. Plenty of room for each couple to have privacy, plenty of common space for conversation, & perfect location for a walk on the beach. It was a short drive to the village & the pier where there were plenty of restaurants, shops, & benches to sit. Between people watching, gazing at the ocean, & visiting with friends, I would highly recommend a St Simons visit.
