THE SPACE
The crown jewel of Getaway Cottage is the screened-in back porch overlooking our new pool - a serene oasis where you can sip your morning coffee or enjoy a sunset cocktail watching the kids splash. It's no wonder this is our guests favorite spot to relax and recharge. And try your putting skills on our putting green, too!

Location is everything, and Getaway Cottage is perfectly situated just a half-mile stroll from the vibrant Pier/Village, where you can explore charming shops and savor local cuisine. The beach is less than a mile away, where endless adventures await.

Located on the south end of the Island, St. Simons Pier Village district serves as the downtown social hub and is a popular destination for shopping, dining and gathering on the pier and nearby lighthouse, playground and picnic areas. Overlooking the ocean and Jekyll Island across the way, you'll find the St. Simons Lighthouse and Museum, Neptune Park with its ocean side pool and facilities, playground, miniature golf course, and an oak shaded picnic area, fishing pier, public library and theater.

Beach Gear Included!: This home offers beach gear such as beach chairs and beach towels FREE for your use! Bikes, carts, paddleboards and more are available for rent locally, discount included. There are no fees or surcharges attached to your reservation.

Pets: This is not a pet friendly home.

Heated Pool: This property offers a heated pool option. The cost is $75/night+tax and can be added up to 48 hours before arrival. Let us know if you'd like to heat the pool!

No Smoking: No smoking is allowed in the home, on the porches/patios/decks, or on the property in general.

Minimum Age: Must be 25 + to book, or age 30 + on GAFL weekend (last weekend in October) For GAFL weekend (last weekend in October), guests must be age 30 + or kids with their parents, no student groups. We cannot make exceptions for that weekend.

No Events: No events or parties. No overnight guests beyond the original booking group.

Someone in reviews mentioned “ if this place is available, you have to book it” cannot agree more ! Best decision ! It is close to everything ! Very quiet and very enjoyable. The house was squeaky clean and is BIG ! Lots of storage space in case you’re traveling with a large party or have a lot of luggage ( kids, I know ). If you’re looking to enjoy st Simon island, this is the place for you !

We had a great time at this beautiful house in a great location. The pool was amazing. We paid to have it heated and it is actually warm. It felt like a hot tub on the cooler days. The kitchen was fully stocked with quality pots/pans/silverware/Tupperware. The hosts always responded quickly. We used their guide of the island to find good restaurants, beaches, coffee shops, and a stroller rental. No stairs was such a relief with little kids. There was a baby lock and alarm on the sliding door that goes out to the porch and the porch door also had a high lock on the door which helped keep the kids away from the pool when the adults were busy. We walked into town every day to shop, eat, walk the pier, and use the playground. There are at least three spirit trees that are walking distance from the house and that was fun for the kids. We loved this place and would stay again!

Is this place is available, book it!! So walkable to the village, perfect sized pool, every amenity you could ask for. Kid friendly with available pack n play, booster seats, etc. We had so much fun! We rented a golf cart and it was a 4 minute drive to the beach. Home was extremely clean and well organized.

Absolutely loved our stay here! We will 100% be back. The house was clean and well stocked with plenty of room for us and our 4 kids. I cannot remember if the listing shared what was actually stocked in the kitchen and house, but it SHOULD if not because the house was very well stocked which was so nice! Plenty of linens, beach towels, even things like paper towels and toilet paper which was so nice to not have to go out and buy those things. The new pool and putting ground was A HIGHLIGHT for our family! So serene and private with the high fence and turf grass - definitely will be back solely for those amenities alone. We spent so much time out there as a family. The house was close enough to DT to be able to walk to the shops and restaurants and parks which was another perk. Perfect location to also be able to drive to Jekyll or Brunswick also. Great house. A gem honestly! For sure will be back!
