DESCRIPTION:COST:\n$8.75 adults\n$6.50 seniors (62 and over)\n$5.50 youth (ages 6 to 17)\nChildren ages 5 and under are free \nHofwyl-Broadfield Plantation will have a month long Easter Egg Scavenger Hunt rather than a 1-day event. Visitors may participate from March 18th to April 20th on Tuesdays – Sundays from 9:00AM – 4:00PM daily. Guests will be given an Easter Egg Scavenger Hunt map with instructions. \nJust follow the simple instructions\, using the map for clues\, to answer the secret phrase. After completing the hunt repeat the phrase to the Ranger at the museum and receive a prize bag filled with toy filled Easter Eggs & more prizes. \nParticipants can receive an EXTRA PRIZE for taking a selfie at one of the clue locations! This event is for the ENTIRE FAMILY and all ages. SUMMARY:Annual Blessing of the Fleet
DESCRIPTION:This annual tradition takes place every year in historic Darien\, Georgia to “bless” the local shrimp boats with good fortune prior to the start of the shrimping season. This seafaring festival traces its origins to a Portuguese tradition that began in 1938 to commemorate the first appearance of The Blessed Virgin to three children near the town of Fatima\, Portugal on May 13\, 1917. \nThe Annual Blessing of the Fleet will take place at the Darien waterfront park. One of the best events that Coastal Georgia has to offer\, we proudly offer a taste of fresh seafood\, local culture\, boating\, water sports\, the shrimping industry\, arts\, crafts and variety of leisure activities. The festival will feature fun and games for the kids\, fabulous food\, music\, great family entertainment\, and a variety of artists and displays.

DESCRIPTION:A USTAF Certified 5K route. Welcome to the 40th Annual Sunshine Festival July 4th Race! Generations have enjoyed this fun for the whole family event! The 5k race winds through the beautiful live oak and Spanish moss-lined streets of St. Simons Island at 7:00 AM! \nThe 1 Mile Fun Run/Walk will be held immediately following the 5K at 8:00 AM. The 1 Mile Fun Run will start and finish at the same location as the 5k. \nStarting line will be sorted by expected pace\, fast people upfront\, walkers\, and strollers in the back. Your time starts when you cross the mat. \nChip timing provided by Second Wind Timing \nBathrooms are in Mallery Park\, and we will have porta-potties. \nFees include a high-quality short-sleeve T-shirt (youth and adult sizes) or Tank Top (adult sizes). Shirts are by far our biggest race expense\, we never wish to have too many left over\, but we do desire for every runner to have a shirt! Please Register! Due to supply issues\, we had to order the shirts on June 12th. \nOnly participants registered by June 12th at Midnight are guaranteed a shirt.
