THE SPACE
As you enter the home, you are greeted by a true southern style screened in porch with brick flooring and ocean views. There is plenty of outdoor seating with swing, dining table for 10 and a couple of rocking chairs. Once you enter the home into the family room, there is a comfortable space with a queen sleeper sofa for the early riser in your group, gas log fireplace for decoration only and a piano. Off the family room is an additional sitting area with wet bar. To the left of the family room is a large dining room with seating for 8 people, which opens into a fully equipped kitchen with Subzero refrigerator, gas stove, microwave, coffee maker, place setting for twelve guests. In the back of the home is another generous size sunroom with TV and games. Here you can access the private back yard with deck, hot and cold water outdoor shower, and gas grill. There is a washer and dryer for your use on the main level. Centrally located downstairs is a full bathroom.
Upstairs on the landing, just outside the master suite, is a sitting room with coffee bar and access to the upper level covered porch with an ocean and beach view and a wonderful swing. There is a king size bed. The master bath has two sinks with step in shower. If you have a long stay, there is a walk in master closet.
Just down the hall is renovated full bathroom with a shower for guest bedrooms. Bedroom sleeping arrangements include a bedroom with a queen bed, a bedroom with two twin size beds and another bedroom with a King size bed and twin with twin trundle.
The pool is 12ft x 24ft with a shallow end (3ft) and 5ft deep end. Pool heating is an option. See details below.
Parking is easy, depending on the size of your cars, there is enough room for up to five automobiles.
You are just one block to the beach access at 5th Street. 1/2 mile to the Village with Shops, Restaurants, Bars and Pier.

Located on the south end of the Island, St. Simons Pier Village district serves as the downtown social hub and is a popular destination for shopping, dining and gathering on the pier and nearby lighthouse, playground and picnic areas. Overlooking the ocean and Jekyll Island across the way, you'll find the St. Simons Lighthouse and Museum, Neptune Park with its ocean side pool and facilities, playground, miniature golf course, and an oak shaded picnic area, fishing pier, public library and theater.

Beach Gear Included!: This home offers beach gear such as beach chairs and beach towels FREE for your use! Bikes, carts, paddleboards and more are available for rent locally, discount included. There are no fees or surcharges attached to your reservation.
Pets: This home is dog friendly for dogs 25lbs or less with $300 pet fee, 2 dogs max. Unfortunately we can't host puppies < 1 year old or breeds known to insurance carriers as 'vicious', please ask if you're not sure.
Heated Pool: This property offers a heated pool option. The cost is $75/night+tax and can be added up to 48 hours before arrival. Let us know if you'd like to heat the pool!
No Smoking: No smoking is allowed in the home, on the porches/patios/decks, or on the property in general.
Minimum Age: Must be 25 + to book, or age 30 + on GAFL weekend (last weekend in October) For GAFL weekend (last weekend in October), guests must be age 30 + or kids with their parents, no student groups. We cannot make exceptions for that weekend.
No Events: No events or parties. No overnight guests beyond the original booking group.

Everything was lovely. Working with Lighthouse was absolutely seamless; Alex is an incredible asset. This house was perfect with four bedrooms and plenty of other gathering space. The ocean is an easy walk and you see if from the house. Great outside space with a beautiful upstairs balcony area. We had five including three teenagers and plenty of space. House could easily sleep 10 people. Short walk to restaurants or a nice golf cart ride. We enjoyed renting golf carts and getting to Mallery St that way but walk is easy. Have been to St. Simon's a couple times and this spot is the best.

What a stunning home in an ideal location for a visit to St Simons! This house was so charming and smack in the middle of all the best restaurants and shopping. We could walk almost everywhere, and drive anywhere else within 8 minutes. There is a large porch swing couch on the second floor balcony that we all fought over whenever we were home. Beach was wonderful, liked the smaller size away from crowds. Communication with host was superb. Everything was PERFECT AS A PEACH and we plan to return!

We loved our stay in this beach house! Spent much of our time on the 2nd floor deck with a good view of the ocean. The house was large and very tastefully decorated, was tough to decide which room to hang out in when not outside. Location is very walkable to restaurants and shops nearby and we took our bikes to Jekyll island and also a ride to a nearby fort. Tides were low in the mornings we were there and we took long walks along the beach which was dog friendly. The house and location exceeded our expectations!
A Wonderful House

We spent a lovely 10 days here recently. The home was spotlessly clean and beautifully furnished. Our grandchildren enjoyed 5th Street beach, a half block away; importantly, this wide beach is accessible at high tide, as well as at low. We enjoyed the porches and swings and the ocean views, forever preserved by situating the house directly across from a perpendicular road. We learned the house was 80 years old; so much character but also fully modernized. Our questions to Lighthouse Rentals were answered promptly. The short walk to the pier and restaurants were also appreciated. 5*s in every respect.

This home was everything a southern beach home should be. It was absolutely charming from the deep screened front porch with swing and family picnic table to enjoy meals in the open air, to the rockers and swinging bed on the second story porch to relax and enjoy a book. All the bedrooms were well appointed, comfy beds, ample bathrooms and lots of seating spaces to accommodate the entire family. The home is decorated beautifully, feels loved and lived in. All the antique furniture, art and rugs make the whole home feel so special and collected. It's been our favorite home we've ever stayed in on the island. We loved cooking in the open kitchen, which was very well stocked! It's a very comfortable and welcoming home. You can't beat the old world charm this home offers. We will be back to stay at this house next year! We miss it so much already.

We loved this property! The location is lovely. You can be on the beach in 2 minutes or walk to restaurants and shopping downtown in 10. The house is well decorated and has everything you could need. There is a lovely upstairs porch as well as the one downstairs. Despite the noise from cars passing by, which is the only downside to this property, we loved sitting outside and could always find somewhere peaceful to be. This is a great place if you want to just besomewhere for a while.

The house is all it's cracked up to be. It exudes charm and is very different, in a great way, from all of the boring condos in new construction out there. The house is a block from the beach and a short walk to town. The house is pretty much equipped with everything. If you have kids, the house has buckets and shovels and things to make sandcastles. There's a great outdoor shower as well so when you come in from the beach it's quite handy. The kitchen is fully stocked. They also have a barbecue grill outside. So head to the supermarket, buy food, and eat out on the (screened in) patio. We loved our stay and will likely come back next summer.
Perfect SSI Property for our trip with our dog

Our requirements for our mid-May visit to SSI were: view of ocean or marsh, good porch overlooking view and large dog accepted. This property met our requirements and then some! Although the ocean is a block away, you can still see it and feel the breezes and the walk is easy and much better than driving. We enjoyed sitting with friends on the porch several afternoons. An unexpected bonus was being able to walk to the Pier restaurants and to the K&P! The only downside is the dated furniture and the aging appliances - the decor feels like you are borrowing your aunt's house - but she lives at the beach and lets you bring your dog, so that is OK. We would glady stay in this home again!

My family (husband and I and four kids ranging from 9-18) stayed 4 nights. The house was much bigger than I expected - everyone had their own space to chill out, with multiple comfy lounging spaces indoors and out. We enjoyed eating on the screened in porch. The house itself is charming - tabby exterior, wood paneled walls in a lot of the interior, lots of cozy seating areas. Location is great- you can see the ocean from the house and the beach entrance is maybe half of a block away. You can also walk to town, and there's a public school next door with basketball hoops and playground. Downside is the house is on Ocean Blvd and at night you can hear the cars even with the windows closed in the MBR (and you have a street to cross to get to the beach). Overall though a great house in a great location - would stay here again.

This is your pace to stay in St. Simons! The cleanliness was immaculate. The amenities are everything you need and more. The communication was outstanding. The SHORT walk to the beach makes it easy if you forget something at the house. The closeness to town made it easy to ride our bikes there! The small touches this house provides makes your arrival, stay and departure super easy and smooth! They had jazz playing when you walked in, personally I loved that welcoming, soothing vibe. Just bring sunscreen and a bathing suit and you are good to go here! I would give 10 stars if I could!!

10/10 on this stay! Great location, wonderful communication, can't say enough good things. The walk to the beach was super easy and the views from the top deck are amazing. Fantastic beach access in a not overly crowded area was a big plus. Central location between the two ends of town made it easy to get around. We absolutely loved having our family vacation here! The house is very accommodating for a large family. Ton of space to relax. It’s a few quick steps to the beach. It ook a little while to get the upstairs to cool off but was fine by the time we went to sleep each night. It’s really close to restaurants and shops. Perfect neighborhood to ride bikes. We can’t wait to come back again!! Highly recommend. 🙂
