East beach is the stretch of beach along the oceanside of St Simons Island. Enjoy the many activities that takes place on the beach such as kite boarding, kayaking, surfing, shelling or even just relaxing in the beautiful white sand. Each beach access point has a different name, which makes up the smaller sections of East Beach.
On the northern tip of East Beach lies Gould’s Inlet. It is located at the end of Bruce Drive. This access has very limited parking available. Right under Gould’s Inlet you can find the most sought after beach location on the island. The U.S. Coast Guard Station, named after the historic coast guard station that is still standing at the entrance as the World War II Home Front Museum. The next access point on East Beach located between the WWII Museum and the King and Prince Resort is Massengale Park.
At low tide you can access the souther point of East Beach at Pier Village. Enjoy biking, fishing and exploring the beach right next to Pier Village and the Neptune Park Fun Zone. Choose from a quiet, secluded beach to one in the middle of all of the restaurants and shopping malls. You will not be disappointed in visiting any or all of the beach access’s of East Beach.
