THE SPACE
We hope you enjoy our comfy beach house, whether relaxation, beach'n, or fun activities. Our family has shared many fond memories in this home, which spans over several generations.
Bedroom/bathroom layout is:
Primary bedroom on main level with a king size bed, baby crib and smart TV. There is an en-suite bathroom with a large jetted tub, separate shower and double vanity.
Off of the kitchen is a 3/4 bathroom.
Upstairs is a Queen bed (smart TV), jack-n-jill bathroom (with a washer and dryer).
The other side of the jack-n-jill bath is a bedroom with two twin size beds.
Additional guest bedroom is a queen size bedroom, smart TV, an adjoining bathroom with walk in shower. Queen size sleeper sofa on the main level in the family room.
Kitchen is nicely equipped and has a drip style coffee maker. A charcoal grill is on site for your use.
We're located mid-beach - halfway between the St Simons Pier Village and East Beach. This stretch of beach is not tide dependent and has plenty of walking distance in both directions. We're walking distance to local restaurant favorites like Crab Daddy's, Barrier Island Brewing, Fiddlers, and Porch.

Beach Gear Included!: This home offers beach gear such as beach chairs and beach towels FREE for your use! Bikes, carts, paddleboards and more are available for rent locally, discount included. There are no fees or surcharges attached to your reservation.
Pets: This home is dog friendly for dogs 25lbs or less with $250 pet fee, 2 dogs max. Unfortunately we can't host puppies < 1 year old or breeds known to insurance carriers as 'vicious', please ask if you're not sure.
No Smoking: No smoking is allowed in the home, on the porches/patios/decks, or on the property in general.
Minimum Age: Must be 25 + to book, or age 30 + on GAFL weekend (last weekend in October) For GAFL weekend (last weekend in October), guests must be age 30 + or kids with their parents, no student groups. We cannot make exceptions for that weekend.
No Events: No events or parties. No overnight guests beyond the original booking group.

Favorite house we've stayed in on Saint simons island. Lots of charm, felt like you're staying at your grandmothers place at the beach (as in, not the newest of decor but who cares when everything else is perfect) The location can't be beat. Beds were extremely comfortable! Definitely want to stay at this property again. Right across the street from a public access but no parking so it's not over crowded.

Ryan’s Lighthouse was everything we were looking for! The house had the perfect amount of bedrooms and bathrooms for our group and the kitchen was stocked with all the necessary appliances. The bedding was very comfortable and the fans kept us cool. The location to the beach was exceptional! Would stay there again.

The location makes this house worthy of booking! It isn’t the most updated home so if you’re keen on modern/boujee, this won’t be your home. But, if you’re big on space, walking distance to restaurants/bars and the BEACH, this is your home! I wish there was a keurig as opposed to coffee maker (easier to pack k cups for travel) but ample space and plenty of towels, etc. Upstairs was actually renovated and huge, bring your friends or family, dog friendly too. We enjoyed our stay!

The short, shady stroll to the beach was so convenient, only surpassed by the sand and surf itself. We had everything we needed, and enjoyed our stay immensely.

This property was the perfect amount of space and the perfect proximity to the beach, shops, and restaurants. December was a perfect time to visit St. Simons. We were less than five minute walk to the beach with our family dog. The outdoor shower and hose was great for getting everyone cleaned up before coming back inside. We told the rest of the family they should join us next year with plenty of space to accommodate everyone.

Beautiful house with plenty of room and amenities. Parking right in front of the house with a carport in the rear. Beach access right across the street, and one of our favorite areas on St Simons Is.: Neptune Park/Mallory St just a couple minutes away.

We just loved staying at the Byrd's nest. It was super clean, had everything we could possibly need and the location was perfect. It was just me, my husband and dog however the place was large enough for a big family or two. We can't wait to get back to Saint Simons and will definitely try to stay here agin.

This is a charming older home that is in a great location! It has plenty of free parking for at least 3 cars in front & 1 in back. The kitchen was well stocked with appliances, cooking & dining utensils. It was also very solid & soundproof, so we were very pleased. As stated in earlier reviews, the twin bed room is connected to the other 2 bedrooms, which probably fine for kids but not great for adults but we managed just fine! It was also very clean & we were pleased with all needs beds & linens. We will definitely rent again!

The house was exactly as expected. Everything was clean, comfortable, and simple. Just across the street from the beach. The only way to access the bedroom with two twins is through the other bedrooms, it is not separated. We highly recommend this house.
