One block to beach and close proximity to the pier and village! This 1930's beach cottage has been received a complete makeover (including an addition) and has been professionally by the best architect who typically designs multi-million dollar homes on Sea Island.
THE SPACE
This home has a lot of character! Original wood work, hardwood floors and close proximity to the beach.
Other amenities: Outside shower, outdoor bar and and grill area complete the main house.
The pool is also new and in a garden oasis - 12 x 18, 5 1/2 FT deep end 3 1/2 FT shallow end. You can optionally have the pool heated with a daily fee, useful for early spring or late fall. The pool is for your private use.
There is a one bedroom guest cottage that may be rented with the property. Otherwise, it is rented separately by other guest. Use of the pool is not shared with the guest cottage.
This convenient cottage is close to everything near the beach and pier/village where you will enjoy local shops and restaurants which feature some of the finest Georgia seafood! Note the guest cottage does not have access to the pool, its for your private use, unless the guest cottage is rented with the main house.
The interior offers a very comfy and open large living room / dining room, open to the kitchen with a ton of windows which bath the house in natural light. Enjoy your mornings and evenings relaxing on the glass enclosed, air conditioned porch.
First floor:
BR1 King, en suite with a beautifully tiled large walk-in shower stall, main floor. This room also has a large sitting room with a sofa. This room is part of the 2022 addition.
Upstairs:
BR2 King, en suite with a beautifully tiled large walk-in shower stall. This room is part of the 2022 addition.
BR3 Queen bed, en suite with large walk-in shower upstairs.

Prepare your meals in the fully equipped chef's kitchen with all the necessary pots, pans, bake ware and utensils essential for any meal. Clean up is made easy with the full sized dishwasher. Enjoy your meals in the sunroom overlooking the front garden while enjoying the day-to-day happenings on St. Simons Island. A stroll down the beach completes the perfect day.
Parking for 2-3 vehicles.
Located on the south end of the Island, St. Simons Pier Village district serves as the downtown social hub and is a popular destination for shopping, dining and gathering on the pier and nearby lighthouse, playground and picnic areas. Overlooking the ocean and Jekyll Island across the way, you'll find the St. Simons Lighthouse and Museum, Neptune Park with its ocean side pool and facilities, playground, miniature golf course, and an oak shaded picnic area, fishing pier, public library and theater.

Beach Gear Included!: This home offers beach gear such as beach chairs and beach towels FREE for your use! Bikes, carts, paddleboards and more are available for rent locally, discount included. There are no fees or surcharges attached to your reservation.
Pets: This is not a pet friendly home.
Heated Pool: This property offers a heated pool option. The cost is $75/night+tax and can be added up to 48 hours before arrival. Let us know if you'd like to heat the pool!
No Smoking: No smoking is allowed in the home, on the porches/patios/decks, or on the property in general.
Minimum Age: Must be 25 + to book, or age 30 + on GAFL weekend (last weekend in October) For GAFL weekend (last weekend in October), guests must be age 30 + or kids with their parents, no student groups. We cannot make exceptions for that weekend.
No Events: No events or parties. No overnight guests beyond the original booking group.

Loved this property . Super charming home truly just steps from the beach and less than half a mile from Pier Village's shops and restaurants. The pool is an added bonus and grill available to make yummy meals. House totally equipped with everything necessary, including TV streaming like Netflix options. Management company also super responsive and friendly.

Beautiful place to stay! Location is amazing - across the street from the beach and just a few blocks for the best eating establishments on the island. My kids loved the pool! It is on the main drag so if you are a light sleeper, bring your earplugs. Otherwise, would highly recommend this stay!

This is the one of the nicest homes we have ever rented. The decor was gorgeous and the location was fantastic. The cottage was across the street from the beach access. Literally, a 2 min walk. We walked to dinner every night. The outdoor was wonderful after a day at the beach. The interior was spotless and the yard is beautifully landscaped. We have already booked for next year.

We LOVED staying here! The location is amazing...directly across from the beach, walking distance to the pier and to restaurants and shopping! The house is beautifully decorated and exactly what we (Website hidden by Airbnb) many bathrooms 🙂 We spent our days alternating from the beach to the pool and loved every second of it!

Rent this house! The best location. Literally one block from the beach (easily walkable). About 1/2 mile from the downtown business district. The property is gorgeous inside and out. The little details-decor, nice sheets/towels, the lighting options. The pool is LOVELY - fountains add a lot! And the outside lounge area we used daily. Don???t hesitate to give this property a try. Can???t wait to come back.

House is pleasant and enjoyable; pictures are accurate. Very well-stocked with essentials. Check-in easy. Walking to beach and restaurants extremely convenient. Pool dirty on arrival due to spring pollen season; a request for cleaning was honored, albeit a day later and could have been done prior to arrival. Cottage in the rear has shared sightlines, but occupants stayed to themselves. Overall still recommended and had a very nice stay.

We really enjoyed our time at the house! The location is really great - it's basically across the street from a beach access point, so we were able to go back and forth easily. It's also a short walk to the Village and the King & Prince Hotel, and we walked "downtown" a lot during our stay. It was also great to have a pool on site. It's compact, but perfect for a quick dip! Since we were there in early March, we used the option to have it heated, which I would definitely recommend - I don't think we would have gotten in otherwise! A couple of other notes: - The house is very "decorated," which, if you're traveling with small kids, is just something to be aware of since there are a lot of items that could easily be knocked over. We had a toddler with us and it ended up being fine, but it felt like there wasn't a lot of room for error. - There are no beach towels, so bring your own!

This home was the perfect stay for my family for an intimate wedding party. The kids stayed in the front house and the parents in the back cottage. We all had dinners by the pool! This house has so much character and is steps away from the beach. It was a 10/10 experience. I would stay here every time I come to St. Simons!

The home is impeccably designed, and carefully maintained both inside and outside in every inch and square. The kitchen was extremely well-stocked with cooking utensils, perfectly clean pots and pans, and a fridge that looked brand new, so clean that we wondered if it had ever been used. Very handy and clean washer and dryer. The patios and pool area are great spaces on the property. Originally we were looking for an oceanfront house, but because we conducted a near last-minute search we were hesitant to take a non-oceanfront house, however from the front room (old porch space) there is a good view of the water and the beach access road is right across the street. Easy to tote chairs and lunch from the house, a short 3 minute walk. Shared a driveway with the carriage house behind and saw a car during our stay but never saw or heard other guests. Located next door to a neighborhood school. The house and grounds seem to have been decorated by a professional designer and landscaper. A great space!! Loved the pool and fountains! Easy walk across the street to beach, to restaurants and historical sites.

I was really hoping this property was going to be as great as the pictures illustrate and I can now say without a doubt it was! The pictures of course make the front of the house look a little larger but the space out front was adorable, useable and just right. We spent a ton of time in the beautiful back yard and pool making some really great memories. We enjoyed our dinners, games and times just relaxing on the enclosed porch- such a cool space!!! Easy walk to dinner, shops and ice cream! This home is full of charm and we look forward to going back.

Old School Charm is a lovely cottage with very comfortable furnishings and beds. Very clean small pool. 2 minute walk to a nice beach with wide area for tents, etc. 10 minute walk to town with shops, restaurants, and fishing pier. Convenient no key entry. Good for a family. Half bath near back door and pool was a plus.

The house is so pretty and is just paces away from the beach. The pool is small and really cute- perfect for lounging (we brought our own floats). Immaculately clean! The house is a little smaller than it appears in the pictures but it is still roomy and full of charm! We would definitely rent it again!

A beautiful New England-styled house just across the street from the beach and within walking distance of the village. A nice set up with one bedroom and bath on the ground level and two upstairs. A perfect-sized pool for when you just want to cool down with a drink on hand. Good for families and friends with the pool house providing extra room for additional cost.

Our family of 4 had a wonderful stay. Very cute cottage, with plenty of rooms and bathrooms for us all. The pool was a great option for us - gave my kiddos a good alternative to the beach, which is only a short walk (block away) and about a 10 minute walk into town . We enjoyed our stay and would recommend. Important to note - there are no beach towels, chairs or an umbrella provided with this property, so make sure to buy or bring your own.

This house is fabulous. Pool is great. Location is awesome- just cross the street to beach which isn't crowded. Walk to village. House is beautiful and comfortable- best spot is the sun porch at front as you can see the water from the sofa. You do share the driveway with the guesthouse in the back but that was fine. If you had 2 families, you could get the main house and guest house too which would be fun.

From the moment we walked in, we were blown away! It was obvious that the owner has put a lot of love into this house. It is a classy, vintage beach cottage with old-school charm and a fabulous renovation. The beds were comfortable; the sheets were soft, and the beach and village were just a short walk away. The beach is across the street! You can literally see the water from the front steps! My family and I will be back! Thank you, Lighthouse! You guys were absolutely awesome, too!
