Once Upon a Tide is a luxurious vacation rental home located in the central area of East Beach. This stunning property offers the ultimate beach retreat with a pool and can accommodate up to 12 guests.

Relax and unwind by the poolside, listening to the soothing sounds of the water cascading into the pool. The beach is just a short distance away, accessible through the beautiful sand dunes. Alternatively, you can take a quick drive to the entrance of the Coast Guard Station Beach for easy access.

For exploring the area, the charming village is only a few miles away. Many guests enjoy renting bikes or golf carts to conveniently navigate the surroundings of our island.

Parking is available on the street side, with space for up to 3 vehicles.

THE SPACE
Let’s take a walk through this lovely home:

Upon entry, you will be in the original home and enter with a quaint sitting room. This is a perfect spot for quiet time, reading and it overlooks the pool area. Off the entry sitting room is a queen bedroom with TV in front of the home and an ensuite bath with shower. The other side of the sitting room is a king bedroom with TV and ensuite bath with shower.

Down the hall from the entry and along side the tabby wall of the original home you enter into the grand addition of the home. Once here you are welcomed into the family room with a large screen TV, open kitchen and dining room. Off the kitchen and family room is a separate laundry room and a half bathroom. From most vantage points of these rooms are magnificent views of the pool and courtyard. The pool has an overflow fountain and there is a shady spot underneath a grand live oak tree.

At the top of the stairs is a bunk room to the left with 4 singles and a TV. To the right is a shared bathroom for the bunk room and adjoining queen bedroom with TV. The shared bathroom has a combination shower/tub. At the end of the hall is a grand king bedroom overlooking the pool courtyard area. The king bedroom has a TV, sitting area and adjoining bathroom with a shower.

We welcome you to come stay awhile at St. Simons Islands East Beach neighborhood. This home is located near the 7th Street beach entrance. There is a path and dunes to walk through to access the beach.

You will be supplied a starter supply of toiletries, dish pods, laundry pods and paper products.

Why Stay on East Beach:
The stretch of beach along the ocean side of St. Simons Island is known as East Beach. A quant neighborhood of single-family homes begins at the access point of the U.S. Coast Guard Station at the northern tip and ends at the southern point of Gould's Inlet by access of Bruce Drive, which runs down the center of East Beach. The Coast Guard Station houses the present home to the World War II Home Front Museum.

Beach Gear Included!: This home offers beach gear such as beach chairs and beach towels FREE for your use! Bikes, carts, paddleboards and more are available for rent locally, discount included. There are no fees or surcharges attached to your reservation.

Pets: This home is dog friendly for dogs 25lbs or less with $250 pet fee, 2 dogs max. Unfortunately we can't host puppies < 1 year old or breeds known to insurance carriers as 'vicious', please ask if you're not sure.

Heated Pool: This property offers a heated pool option. The cost is $75/night+tax and can be added up to 48 hours before arrival. Let us know if you'd like to heat the pool!

No Smoking: No smoking is allowed in the home, on the porches/patios/decks, or on the property in general.

Minimum Age: Must be 25 + to book, or age 30 + on GAFL weekend (last weekend in October) For GAFL weekend (last weekend in October), guests must be age 30 + or kids with their parents, no student groups. We cannot make exceptions for that weekend.

No Events: No events or parties. No overnight guests beyond the original booking group.
