Why Stay on East Beach:
The stretch of beach along the ocean side of St. Simons Island is known as East Beach. A quant neighborhood of single-family homes begins at the access point of the U.S. Coast Guard Station at the northern tip and ends at the southern point of Gould's Inlet by access of Bruce Drive, which runs down the center of East Beach. The Coast Guard Station houses the present home to the World War II Home Front Museum.

MORE INFO
Legacy Collection Home: This home is part of the Lighthouse Legacy Collection, a celebrated group of St. Simons Island's original beach cottages. Built in the 1930s and 1940s, these homes have been thoughtfully restored to preserve their historic character while offering modern comforts and preserving the architectural charm that makes them unique. What makes these cottages special are the features that can't be replicated in new construction—unique floor plans, original architectural details, cozy room proportions, and the charm that comes from decades of island history. As with any historic home, guests may notice differences from a newly built property. Rooms may be smaller, floors and walls may show the character of age, and the layout may reflect a different era of coastal living. Rather than the perfection of a new home, these cottages offer an authentic St. Simons experience filled with warmth, personality, and timeless appeal. If you appreciate history, character, and coastal nostalgia, we invite you to enjoy this special home.

Pets: This home is dog friendly for dogs 25lbs or less with $250 pet fee, 2 dogs max. Unfortunately we can't host puppies < 1 year old or breeds known to insurance carriers as 'vicious', please ask if you're not sure.

We loved the character and charm of the home. It was walkable to the beach.

Our stay was delightful, peaceful, and relaxing. Ryan and the property manager, Alex, were very responsive and easy to work with. The house was clean and comfortable for 10 adults and 3 babies. The kitchen was fully equipped with a full palate of cookware, dinnerware, silverware, herbs and spices- very unusual for a moderately priced beach house. The salt water pool was great- very clean. Beach was a short walk away. The house is in walking distance to the intersection for the King and Prince resort. There are several restaurants including a brewery at the intersection. St Simons village is in biking distance. We had a great time and highly recommend this property.

Each person in our intergenerational family found much to love in this classic beach house, from the comfy ground floor bedroom suite (for the 90 year old) to sunny lounge chairs by the pool and easy walks to the beach (for the young adults). The charm of a home that has welcomed so many over the years is evident in every detail. The layout of bedrooms and bathrooms offers both privacy and togetherness. We had terrific meals at nearby restaurants, went often to great Omcore yoga studio, too. When we needed help, our fantastic hosts offered immediate and thorough support and followed up during and after our stay; we will absolutely 1000% stay with them on future trips to St. Simons!

Great location, easy walk or golf cart to the beaches. We had a party of 11 and never felt crowded with plenty of rooms and bathrooms for everyone! The kids loved bunking up in the twin rooms and couldn't stay out of the pool! Quiet, beautiful neighborhood and streets…Would definitely stay again!

We love renting from Lighthouse Rentals. We have lost track of how many times we have stayed at your homes, but they have all been wonderful!
