The Golden Isles Arts & Humanities’ summertime concert series, Sounds by the Sea, will wrap up with local band Backbeat Boulevard.
BackBeat Boulevard’s unique blend of “Groovin’ Rock/Blues/Soul/R&B/Funk Classics” have made this popular band a local favorite who have been entertaining Golden Isles audiences for over a decade! Comprised of seasoned touring musicians and local mainstays, this group has garnered a loyal following for full band, duo, and solo performances. The members of BackBeat Boulevard have all shared stages with national recording acts as diverse as The Marshall Tucker Band, The Tams, The Drifters, Jason Aldean, Confederate Railroad, Little Big Town, The Platters, Blue Oyster Cult and more. Get ready to rock!
The concert takes place at Neptune Park on St. Simons Island directly behind the Casino building. The concerts take place from 7-9 p.m. and guests are encouraged to bring a picnic supper and a lawn chair or blanket to relax on.
New this year are online ticket sales for Sounds by the Sea which can be purchased at www.goldenislesarts.org or by calling 912.262.6934 and are only $12 for adults. Children ages 6 to 12 are $5, and under 6 years old are free. Patrons are encouraged to purchase their tickets in advance.
