A USTAF Certified 5K route. Welcome to the 39th Annual Sunshine Festival July 4th Race! Generations have enjoyed this fun for the whole family event! The 5k race winds through the beautiful live oak and Spanish moss-lined streets of St. Simons Island at 7:00 AM!
The 1 Mile Fun Run/Walk will be held immediately following the 5K at 8:00 AM. The 1 Mile Fun Run will start and finish at the same location as the 5k.
Starting line will be sorted by expected pace, fast people upfront, walkers, and strollers in the back. Your time starts when you cross the mat.

Bathrooms are in Mallery Park, and we will have porta-potties.
Fees include a high-quality short-sleeve T-shirt (youth and adult sizes) or Tank Top (adult sizes). Shirts are by far our biggest race expense, we never wish to have too many left over, but we do desire for every runner to have a shirt! Please Register! Due to supply issues, we had to order the shirts on June 12th.
Only participants registered by June 12th at Midnight are guaranteed a shirt.
