Established in 1920, Brunswick Country Club has been a part of the Golden Isles for nearly a century. This private club has shared an association with many recognizable names in the game of golf, such as Andy Bean, Steve Melnyk, and Davis Love III. Brunswick Country Club plays host to the Golden Isles Invitational Tournament each year and has done so since the inaugural event in 1949. In November 2007, the course reopened after Love Golf Design’s completion of a twelve-month restoration project which returned the golf course to its original 1938 Donald Ross design. The new clubhouse opened in June 2009. Amenities include a fully stocked golf shop, a large dining room, locker rooms, a bar and grill, a swimming pool, and a fitness room.
Brunswick Country Club is fortunate to have the opportunity to host to several PGA Tour sponsored events. In September, the Club is one of six national host sites for the Web.com Pre-Qualifying Tournament for Stage One Q-School. The Club also hosts the Pre-Qualifier and the Monday Qualifier for the PGA Tour’s McGladrey Classic. Sapelo Hammock Golf Club is an 18-hole, par 72 daily fee course. Annual member passes available. $29.96 during the week, $40.66 on weekends and holidays for a round of golf (per person) – includes cart, tax, and all the golfing challenge you can stand. Driving time from either Brunswick or Savannah is approximately 40 minutes. Sapelo Hammock Golf Club is tucked away on a pristine stretch of land along the Sapelo River.
