Indian Mound

This Joe Lee designed golf course winds through some of Jekyll Island’s most pristine woodlands, offering a wonderful setting to see some of the Island’s natural surroundings. Lee named this course Indian Mound, after the large oyster shell middens deposited by aboriginal tribes hundreds of years ago. Indian Mound, like Jekyll Island’s other golf courses, is untouched by residential or commercial development, making it a resplendent course to take in the natural beauty of the Island.
Oleander
18 Holes – 6521 Yards – Par 72
Local residents consider Oleander one of their favorite Jekyll Island golf courses. Designed by Dick Wilson in 1964, this challenging 18-hole course is surrounded by inland lakes and Pine forests, with numerous doglegs and narrow fairways to overcome. Situated only 300 yards from the ocean, a steady ocean breeze is constantly working on your golf ball flight.
Pine Lakes
18 Holes – 6700 Yards – Par 72
The newest and longest (6760 yards) golf course on Jekyll Island, Pine Lakes wanders through ocean forests and migratory bird habitat. Offering “family-friendly” tee boxes, Pine Lakes is the only course in America that allows players of all ages to compete fairly. Pine Lakes and Jekyll Island are the official hosts for the annual U.S. Kids Golf Jekyll Island Cup.
Great Dunes
9 Holes – 3229 Yards – Par 36
In 1926, wealthy Jekyll Island resident J.D. Rockefeller commissioned the leading golf course architect of the time, Walter Travis, to build the “best course money could buy.” His creation resulted in this challenging 9-hole golf course played host to the Jekyll Island Club’s elite members, with a natural terrain of sand barriers and coastal dunes.
