Recently updated decor and newly renovated master bath, LegaSea is our 3 bedroom beach house just steps from the sand of east beach. Additional sleeping (pullout couch) in the sunroom. Sleeps 10

THE SPACE

Repainted, newly decorated and with an all new master bath, the home is a timeless classic inside and out, with its colonial brick exterior and warm southern charm inside. The house is casual inside, with a hint of classic St Simons style throughout. We're at the corner of 10th and 11th street on East Beach, making us just 3 houses from the best beach access point on East Beach - the 11th street access. The 11th street beach access is not tide dependent, has scenic natural sand dunes, and very little beach traffic - great for a relaxing day at the beach.

The master suite features a king bed, flat screen TV with premium cable, and renovated master bath with dual vanities and beautiful new marble shower.

The guest bedroom has a queen bed and access to the 2nd bath, which also has a shower/tub combo.

The third bedroom has a queen bed and a twin with a twin trundle.

And lastly, the sun room has a full pullout sofa and lots of natural light. The sun room has french doors to close for privacy and can double as a 4th bedroom.

We have a large kitchen, dining area, and comfortable family room to enjoy time together.

Enjoy our rooftop deck on the 2nd floor, or the a large backyard with a paver patio and fire pit for enjoying a coastal evening.

Why Stay on East Beach:
The stretch of beach along the ocean side of St. Simons Island is known as East Beach. A quant neighborhood of single-family homes begins at the access point of the U.S. Coast Guard Station at the northern tip and ends at the southern point of Gould's Inlet by access of Bruce Drive, which runs down the center of East Beach. The Coast Guard Station houses the present home to the World War II Home Front Museum.

Legacy Collection Home: This home is part of the Lighthouse Legacy Collection, a celebrated group of St. Simons Island's original beach cottages. Built in the 1930s and 1940s, these homes have been thoughtfully restored to preserve their historic character while offering modern comforts and preserving the architectural charm that makes them unique. What makes these cottages special are the features that can't be replicated in new construction—unique floor plans, original architectural details, cozy room proportions, and the charm that comes from decades of island history. As with any historic home, guests may notice differences from a newly built property. Rooms may be smaller, floors and walls may show the character of age, and the layout may reflect a different era of coastal living. Rather than the perfection of a new home, these cottages offer an authentic St. Simons experience filled with warmth, personality, and timeless appeal. If you appreciate history, character, and coastal nostalgia, we invite you to enjoy this special home.

Pets: This home is dog friendly for dogs 25lbs or less with $250 pet fee, 2 dogs max. Unfortunately we can't host puppies < 1 year old or breeds known to insurance carriers as 'vicious', please ask if you're not sure.

Heated Pool: This property offers a heated pool option. The cost is $75/night+tax and can be added up to 48 hours before arrival. Let us know if you'd like to heat the pool!

No Smoking: No smoking is allowed in the home, on the porches/patios/decks, or on the property in general.

Minimum Age: Must be 25 + to book, or age 30 + on GAFL weekend (last weekend in October) For GAFL weekend (last weekend in October), guests must be age 30 + or kids with their parents, no student groups. We cannot make exceptions for that weekend.

No Events: No events or parties. No overnight guests beyond the original booking group.

Quiet and close

This property was so charming! Check-in was a breeze and we felt right at home as soon as we stepped inside. Everything was clean and the bed was so comfy. You can’t beat the closeness of the beach - a short walk around the corner to the access path. While the pool was a bit too cool for my blood (it was only April after all), we still enjoyed relaxing in the lounge chairs soaking in the sunshine. We appreciated the bicycles made available to explore a bit of the island. We would book this property again!

Beautiful home within walking distance to the beach! My three kids had a great time in the pool. The backyard was shaded and beautifully landscaped with room to play. It was a comfortable home, that was very clean. Plenty of linens. We enjoyed riding our bikes on the neighborhood streets and to MooMoo cow for ice cream. Someone had left a beach wagon we used, and I am glad because it was used! We cooked most of our meals in the well furnished kitchen. Ventured out to St. Simon's for our favorite spots and found some new ones! FancyQ for sushi Iguana's- best fried shrimp! Zuzu's- burgers and onion rings Half Shell- crab cakes

Great East Beach family vacation property

Fantastic house to relax as a family in East Beach, incredibly close to beach access. Plenty of room for a family of 6 to spread out when desired, while offering great spaces to hang out together both inside and out. The backyard is an oasis with a beautiful pool, as well as places to lounge, play games and eat together. Property includes bikes, as well as boogie & surf boards to enjoy outdoors without having to transport your own from home or deal with finding rentals during busy season. Loved our stay here, made that much more special as wed not gotten away together to SSI for 2 years due to the pandemic. Highly recommend this property!

Loved this house. It's a 2 minute walk to the beach on the street access or a 3 minute bike ride with the family to the main beach entrance a couple blocks away. This was a slice of heaven on earth if you're looking for some time with family or to just reconnect with nature and yourself.

House has everything to make our stay complete. Kitchen is a little small when more than 2 people are trying to prepare food but it wasn't a big deal. Loved having the pool, bikes, tv's, grill, close to beach, plenty of space for all 5 of us. Loved the details like bike locks, easy entry with a keypad, 3 different coffee pots, plenty of dishes, glasses, plastic glasses for pool area. Would definitely stay here again if we came back to SSI. Thank you!

Lega-Sea was the perfect vacation home for our family of four (could easily have brought a few friends). The house is spacious and sweet, very classic SSI. The small pool was a great addition too! A short walk to the beach was another bonus!

We had a great stay at the house! The house was super clean and check in was a breeze. We loved having a door with a PIN code so no one had to carry around keys. The house is close to a very quiet part of the beach. (You reach the beach through a wonderful, almost tropical path which we loved.) The house and yard were well equipped and the owner was responsive when issues arose. The dishwasher had repeated problems while we were there, but hopefully the owner sorted them out for good. The pool area and backyard are very pretty, and it's nice how many different sitting areas there are. the house worked great for two families (8 people), with one child sleeping on the pull out sofa in the den (tv room). The den has doors which close it off and it can be made dark, FYI. We were surprised to find bikes for use in the garage (I think there are as many as 5 bikes) and enjoyed biking around the island. Be aware: the pool itself was smaller than we expected. The dimensions are clearly stated on the site, 10 ft. x 20 ft., but we didn't focus on that and the pictures gave us the impression it would be bigger. We still enjoyed some splashing about, but just an FYI, especially given the cost to heat it.

Nice house close to the beach

We loved the house and it's location. The house was very clean and I liked the fact that linens were provided. The garage was a plus as we could unload our beach chairs and coolers there instead of leaving them outside or bringing them into the house. We easily parked 3 cars in the driveway. Our family would stay at this house again.
