THE SPACE
This upscale second home is among the largest of the coast cottages. With easy beach access and access to the Coast Cottages pools, Satilla Cottage offered everything you'd expect from a Coast Cottage property. As you can see by our photos, the home as been thoughtfully equipped for a lovely, comfortable stay on St Simons Island.
We offer 4 bedrooms:
- Master Suite: Top floor suite with king bed, spacious en-suite bath with double vanity sinks and a soaking tub with separate shower. There's a porch on the back of the house accessible from the master bath, and and a front porch attached to the suite with an ocean view and porch swing.
- Queen Bedroom 1: The first queen bedroom is on the first floor and has shared access to a full bath.
- Queen Bedroom 2: Also on the first floor, the 2nd queen bedroom also has shared access to the full bath.
- Bunk Room: Designed for the kiddos, our bunk room, also on the 1st floor, has a bunk bed with twin bed on the bottom, full bed on bottom, and even a trundle slide-out bed underneath. The bunk room has its own full bath.
The living space features an open concept kitchen, dining, and family room. The common areas are spacious with high ceilings, plenty of seating, and high end appliances in the kitchen - everything you need to enjoy a meal, whether you're cooking or eating.
Parking for this cottage is limited to 3 spaces parked diagonally, no exceptions - no additional parking is available.

A short stroll from Satilla Cottage leads to a spectacular oceanside pavilion and pool facility unrivaled along the St. Simons Island shoreline. This home does not have ocean views.

Beach Gear Included!: This home offers beach gear such as beach chairs and beach towels FREE for your use! Bikes, carts, paddleboards and more are available for rent locally, discount included. There are no fees or surcharges attached to your reservation.
Pets: This home is dog friendly with $250 pet fee, 2 dogs max. Unfortunately we can't host breeds known to insurance carriers as 'vicious', please ask if you're not sure.
No Smoking: No smoking is allowed in the home, on the porches/patios/decks, or on the property in general.
Minimum Age: Must be 25 + to book, or age 30 + on GAFL weekend (last weekend in October) For GAFL weekend (last weekend in October), guests must be age 30 + or kids with their parents, no student groups. We cannot make exceptions for that weekend.
No Events: No events or parties. No overnight guests beyond the original booking group.

This was the first time for us at Satilla cottage with our kids and grandkids. Couldn’t have had a better time! Beautiful cottage, steps from the beach, awesome pool to relax at when you’re done at the beach. This was an amazing place and we’ll definitely be back to Satilla!

Perfect vacation house! Would not hesitate to book again! The location is excellent -- a very short and easy walk to East Beach along the community's private path. Fyi, you CAN see the ocean from the deck on the top floor (off of the primary bedroom) which is really lovely. And the deck off of the main floor (where the kitchen is) has a great view of the lane of colorful beach houses, really charming. Wholeheartedly recommend!

Property was beautiful, clean and very convenient to beach. Has everything you'll need for your stay. There are 3 stories, so be mindful of stairs. Best beach in the area. Plenty of restaurants and shopping within a mile of home. Bike riding is great on beach.

This is a spacious cottage within easy walking distance to the pool and beach. There are multiple porches and balconies to sit and relax. The open kitchen and living room floor plan allowed our group to enjoy each other without feeling crowded. The two swivel glider chairs in the living room are super comfy and cozy. 🙂 We would rent this cottage again.

We fell in love with the Cottages. Access to the beach and pool were fantastic. A quick golf cart or car ride to the villages, steps away from a really cool interactive World War 2 Museum has our family itching to get back to this house quickly! Our dog had a great vacation too! It was the perfect house for us. Check in process was great and the house comes with so many amenities. We loved our stay.

We stayed here with extended family over Thanksgiving break and had a fantastic time. The kitchen was well equipped enough for us to cook a full Thanksgiving dinner and the kids absolutely loved the proximity to the beach and the heated pool! We will definitely return again!

This was a GREAT house in a GREAT location. Super close to the pool and boardwalk to the beach. Lovely light and airy house with tall ceilings and very well decorated. We had a couple of hiccups when we first arrived but management handled it super fast and they were consistently friendly and very responsive. Just a note, the master bedroom is up two very tall flights of stairs. The living room and kitchen are located on the second floor of the house. It's gorgeous, but if stairs are an issue for you, this may not be the best choice for you.
