St Simons Island Bike Rentals

Once you arrive on St. Simons Island you’ll no longer need the keys…

One of the best ways to see St. Simons and the Golden Isles is by bicycle. Options range from maintaining a leisurely pace through the resort areas, near the south end of St. Simons, to pushing oneself faster along open roads at the north end.

Biking paths wind around the airport, through Pier Village, and along the marsh at East Beach, the entire length of Frederica Road, as well as a stretch of 12 miles headed towards Hampton Point. You can even explore our many hard-packed beaches by bike to catch a glimpse of coastal wildlife.

Bike paths also encircle and cross Jekyll Island. Jekyll Island features about 25 miles of paved trails allowing visitors to explore the scenery, beaches, forests, and Jekyll’s Historic Landmark District. Free bike path maps are available at the Jekyll Island Welcome Center and at the bike barn on Shell Road.

With more than 30 miles of island pathways to explore on St. Simons alone, you’ll discover many historic sites, shops, and restaurants along the way – so make a day of it! There’s no need to bring your own bicycle when visiting St. Simons. There are a host of bike rental companies equipped to get you geared up and on the road during your stay.
